Period Camping for Re-enactors

 at Newtown’s 225^th Anniversary Event

July 27 , 28 & 29, 2004

Period camping for the American and Crown forces will be available at the Newtown event this year as always . The American forces will be about 7/8 mile past the Main Lodge down the road in the back . The Crown forces will be encamped at or near the main lodge and sutler area as always . The Indian Camp will be at the recreated village “ New Town” located near the center of the park .

Re-enactors coming in should register as follows : Crown Forces at or near the main lodge in the park . American forces at the American camp about 7/8 miles past the main lodge –down the road . You will come up on the Quartermaster’s tent and sign in area . The Indian forces should report to the Indian Village .

American forces should refer to specific information sent to the unit commanders/contacts and Division commanders for details on the Continental Camp .

Anyone bringing horses to the event should contact the Continental Forces Brigade Major for specific information prior to August 20.
